We all dream of riding perfect powder all day long, especially when we’re hiking for it, but the simple fact is that at some point during the journey we’re going to have to ride variable conditions too. The Lann Split is designed for both, its a dedicated pow surf machine and an absolute blade when it comes to the hardpack. Up until now, I’ve always found Splitboarding to be such a compromise, but now those days are finally gone!
This is a Split version of the solid Lann, that rides and feels like the solid going down, but splits in two for the up!
We design and build the two halves of our Splits to be independent of each other in terms of core structure, flex and stringer profiles that work independently in both in split and in ride mode. This eliminates the loss of edge hold through a central ‘V’ flex when riding and any loss of edge grip through torsional flex when splitting. I couldn’t believe how light this Split was and how well it performed the first time I rode it.
Our Lann Splitboard comes with our unique inbuilt central overlapping ‘power plate’ concept as standard.
Like all our Snowboards, the Lann Split blends our unique custom sidecut, camber and flex profile and when combined with the Lanns wide long surf inspired nose and short sharp, more aggressive, tail profile, it delivers a smooth controlled turn entry and powerful clean turn exit, giving you a high performance ride in all conditions from deep bottomless powder right through carving the icy hardpack.
Our front and rear clip are built into the core profile, designed to add structural torsional performance whilst also eliminating the need for extra bolt holes in the base of the board.
